La prima parte del tour europeo dopo la tappa al Pinkpop Festival prevede lo sbarco nella penisola scandinava, prima tappa Tampere in Finlandia. Esibizione con sorpresa fuori stagione: "Babbo Natale vive in Finlandia 11 mesi all’anno ecco perchè possiamo fare questa canzone" e via con l'inaspettata esecuzione di "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". Altrettanta insolita l'esecuzione su richiesta di "The dark end of the street", brano soul di James Carr.

Cielo plumbeo e temperatura per nulla estiva sono il benvenuto che riserva Stoccolma alla band. La copertura mediatica è impressionante quotidiani, televisioni ed internet, tutti pieni di notizie per i tre show previsti in città. Un breve video delle prove pomeridiane è visibile sul sito del quotidiano Aftonbladet. Springsteen e Little Steven si concede per un'intervista a ExpressenTV.

I concerti vengono aperti da Nils che alla fisarmonica esegue Idas Sommarvisa, una classica canzoncina svedese della scrittrice Astrid Lindgren, nonché sigla del telefilm Emil. La prima serata, complice l'inclemenza del tempo, viene aperta da un'appropriata Who’ll stop the rain dei Creedence. Da segnalare il ritorno in scaletta di Lucky day, Because the night e The wrestler. Le richieste comprendono: I’m goin' down, Cadillac Ranch e Wild thing dei Troggs.
