Uscirà il 18 maggio il nuovo box antologico “The Album Collection Vol. 2, 1987-1996” nel quale vengono raccolti gli album in studio e live pubblicati dal 1987 al 1996.
Nel 2014 era uscito il primo box set “The Album Collection Vol. 1” che includeva i dischi usciti tra il 1973 e il 1984
La nuova collezione verrà pubblicata da Columbia esclusivamente in versione vinile da 180 gr. e sarà composta da 10 album rimasterizzati, accompagnati da un volumetto di sessanta pagine in cui sono incluse foto, memorabilia e rassegne stampa del periodo.
Tra le particolarità interessanti della collezione le versioni in doppio vinile, all’epoca uscirono in versione singolo, degli album“Tunnel of Love” e “Human Touch”. L’espansione dei lati stampati è la conseguenza del’opera di rimasterizzazione messa in atto da Bod Ludwig e Toby Scott. Per mantenere una più alta qualità in fase di stampa si è scelto di incidere meno tracce per ogni lato del vinile.
“In Concert/MTV Plugged” viene oggi pubblicato in vinile in tutto il mondo mentre nel 1993 vide la luce la sola edizione europea mentre “Blood Brothers EP” sarà disponibile per la prima volta in questo formato essendo uscito nel 1996 solo come CD allegato alla VHS omonima.
Per ora non è prevista la pubblicazione del box in formato CD.
